Nick Cannon already has 12 kids, but he’s still hoping for a baker’s dozen — and maybe even a few more after that. On the latest episode of his We Playin’ Spades podcast that dropped March 17, the actor shared his stance on getting a vasectomy (spoiler: he’s against it) and affirmed that if things play out as he hopes, his massive family will continue to expand.
The topic of getting snipped first came up when guests Ryan Clark and Channing Crowder revealed that they’d both had vasectomies. After they started giving Cannon a hard time for not doing the same despite his massive family tree, The Masked Singer host conceded that the procedure would be “the responsible thing to do.”
But?
“I’m just — I’m not done,” Cannon said, laughing. “I’m being judged.”
The Wild n’ Out star shares a total of 12 children with five different women, with Cannon first becoming a dad in 2011 when superstar ex-wife Mariah Carey welcomed twins Moroccan and Monroe. He also shares Golden Sagon, Powerful Queen and Rise Messiah with Brittany Bell; Zion Mixolydian, Zillion Heir and Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa; Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi; Onyx Ice with LaNisha Cole; and Halo Marie with Alyssa Scott. He and Scott also had a son named Zen in 2021, but the baby boy died from brain cancer just five months after he was born.
While neither of his We Playin’ Spades guests could wrap their heads around why someone would want to continue fathering kids after already having so many, Cannon shared his simple rationale: “Why not?”
“I don’t know! That’s the thing,” he added when co-host Courtney Bee asked if he wants to have more children with one of his kids’ mothers or if he wants to bring a new woman into the mix. “I leave it to the Lord.”
